Photographers Note
It was well past midnight when I stood alone on the icy rocks at Thjófafoss, the wind whispering across the plains. The northern lights exploded across the sky just as a clearing broke in the clouds. I steadied my tripod, adjusted for long exposure, and captured this rare moment when earth, water, and sky aligned in perfect balance. This image is more than a photographits a memory carved into light.
